CLASSROOM HAPPENINGS & IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW:
- How is your student's cursive book coming along? The students were given their books the first week of school and told that the book must be completed in order to be in the tents during our camping unit. I have reminded the kids every week to keep working on their books, and they are given time in class to work on them. Learning cursive is a Malone third grade requirement, so we need to make sure the students can read and write it before leaving third grade.
- We have been so fortunate to have Marv Linseth come to our class on Tuesdays to lead Discovery Club. Mr. Linseth is an amazing person whose life is full of adventures and stories. He also has a very "scientific" mind and enjoys sharing that with students. Each Tuesday he will share his knowledge with our class during Reading Workshop as one of our stations. This is the third year Mr. Linseth has been able to be with my students, and they always learn so much and enjoy his company.
